FAQ

FAQ

Can I join with zero skiing experience?
Yes. Our instructors adjust the pace to your actual level, starting from putting on gear and riding the lift — no prior experience needed. We recommend starting with the 3- or 4-hour beginner course.
Do the instructors speak Chinese?
Yes. The founder and most partner instructors can teach in Chinese. You can note your preferred teaching language on the booking form, and we’ll match you with a suitable instructor.
Which resorts offer lessons? Can I take the advanced course at other resorts too?
We cover 16 major resorts across Hokkaido. Most offer both beginner and advanced (Park / Powder & Tree Guiding) courses. Asahidake and Kurodake/Sounkyo currently offer advanced courses only, while Christmas Present Park, Pippu, and Nayoro currently offer beginner courses only. See the “Resorts” section above for the full breakdown.
Will the course be cancelled if snow or weather conditions are poor?
We’ll adjust or postpone the course based on on-site snow conditions and safety assessments — see the “Snow & Safety Notice” below for details. Safety always comes first, ahead of keeping to schedule.
Do I need to bring my own ski gear?
No, we can arrange rental gear for you — just let us know your needs in the notes field.
Can kids join the course?
Yes, we have extensive experience teaching kids and families, and we adjust our approach to each child’s age and stamina. Please note your child’s age in the booking form.
What payment methods are available?
Beginner courses support online credit card payment (securely processed via Stripe) once your group size and date are confirmed. Advanced courses involve more complex venue and instructor scheduling, so we use an inquire-first, pay-later process.

Cancellation Policy

Applies regardless of reason

Please note that the Stripe processing fee is added on top of the refunded amount when calculating the total refund.

Snow & Safety Notice

Skiing and snowboarding carry inherent risk, and accidents can occur due to snow conditions, weather, terrain, or individual physical condition. We reserve the right to adjust, postpone, or cancel a course based on on-site snow conditions, visibility, avalanche risk assessment, and similar factors, with participant safety as the top priority. Every course includes accident insurance up to ¥200 million; the exact terms and coverage are governed by the insurer’s actual policy.

Participants must honestly disclose their health condition, prior injuries, and skiing experience, and assess for themselves whether a given course’s difficulty is appropriate — the Advanced (Park / Powder & Tree Guiding) course in particular requires the ability to make linked S-turns on red (blue) runs. Minors may only register with a guardian present or with the guardian’s authorization.

Snowi (Shinmei GK) is not liable for loss, injury, or delay arising from force majeure, the negligence of third-party providers (such as resorts or lift operators), or a participant’s own actions, though we will do our best to assist in resolving any such issues.
